The Alderton is an eight-panel newsboy cap cut from a herringbone weave and finished with a buttoned peak. The crown gathers to a fabric-covered button at the top, and the panel seams hold their shape rather than collapsing flat on the head. It belongs on a market walk, a pub garden in autumn, or under a wool overcoat on the school run.
